The event took place at 7:00 a.m. at the TAT Kanchanaburi Office in Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province. It provided an opportunity for open discussions on public relations strategies while outlining upcoming marketing initiatives. Deputy Governors of Kanchanaburi Province, Wutthiphong Suphakwanich and Trat Lueangsaat, graced the occasion with welcoming remarks.
Attendees included the provincial public relations officer, the director of Public Relations Department Region 8, the director of Radio Thailand Kanchanaburi Station, and journalists from various media outlets, all contributing to a cozy and collaborative atmosphere. Ms. Sariya Boonmak, Director of TAT Kanchanaburi Office, revealed that the 2026 operational plan will prioritize quality tourism under the national theme “The New Thailand.” This marks a shift from focusing on visitor numbers to creating value and sustainability, positioning Kanchanaburi as a premium destination with an emphasis on Health and Wellness experiences and high-potential travelers.
Key initiatives include projects such as Kanchanaburi Fit & Fun, Travel Kanchanaburi Every Day, and Green Travel in Kanchanaburi. These will be supported by partnerships with networks, content creation for promotion, and ongoing travel stimulation efforts aimed at boosting the economy and distributing income sustainably to local communities.
Kanchanaburi, renowned for its historical sites like the Bridge over the River Kwai and stunning natural landscapes, continues to evolve as a year-round destination blending history, adventure, and wellness. This event shows TAT’s commitment to team promotion, aligning local efforts with Thailand’s broader vision for meaningful, sustainable tourism growth in the coming year.
